Consultancy

I am a solicitor, qualified in England & Wales, and provide a consultancy service within the legal profession to private practice law firms.

These may be firms with existing property expertise, to complement their team, or firms who do not have specialist property lawyers. I offer a non-exclusive consultancy service, as and when needed, on a project-by-project basis.

I have over 30 years’ experience in property law, which includes commercial and residential property development; acquisitions; disposals; landlord and tenant; leases and agreements for leases; corporate occupiers; options and overage agreements; promotion and collaboration agreements; deeds of covenant; sports ground share agreements; film location agreements; reports on title; certificates of title; housing; planning and the environment.

When I was in full-time private practice, my clients included large corporate occupiers, developers, private equity investors, charities and football clubs. I have acted for major national retailers and retail developers in their roll out programmes, and I have also advised on the development of warehouse distribution sites.

I have written for several well-known legal publications, including the Property Law Journal and the Journal of Planning & Environment Law.

I also provide pro-bono advice on housing and property law for people on low incomes through Law Works.

I qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales in 1990.

I have a BA (Hons) in Jurisprudence from the University of Oxford (Lincoln College,1987).

Before becoming a consultant, I was for several years a partner in the London office of a regional firm, and prior to that I worked as an associate in two large City firms
